Cycling News:

Noble's do-or-die confidence could net her the US cyclo-cross title

The top American cyclo-cross racers will assemble at the USA Cycling National Championships in Louisville on Sunday, when defending champion Katie Compton will attempt to win a record 15th consecutive title. But there will be one rider on the start line who, as a junior seven years ago, predicted she would break Comptons winning streak, and that is Ellen Noble. It would be insane, totally crazy if I won, Noble told Cyclingnews in a phone interview while she was travelling from Athens, Georgia, ...

Van Avermaet structures 2019 around Classics, Tour de France and Worlds

Greg Van Avermaet has confirmed his race programme for 2019, his first season in the orange of the newly-rebranded CCC Team. The season will have a familiar feel to it, starting in Valencia before a near-complete programme of the Spring Classics, followed by the Tour de France and World Championships later in the season. Van Avermaet will pin a dossard on for the first time at the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana at the start of February, as he has done for the past two years since the Tour of Q...

Ochowicz targeting 20 wins in first season as CCC Team

For Jim Ochowicz, the whole of 2018 was a race against time in two halves – the first to save his team after the withdrawal of BMC, the second to piece together a largely new one with the backing of Polish company CCC. In Denia, Spain, this week, the whole operation came together, as riders and staff gathered for a pre-season training camp, and Ochowicz set out the teams vision and plans. There was a familiar feel as Greg Van Avermaet strolled around the lobby of the five-star Marriot La Sella ...

Ewan is one of nine new riders to the team this year, joining Adam Blythe, Roger Kluge, Stan DeWulf, Carl Fredrik Hagen, Brent Van Moer, Brian van Goethem, Ge...

Dennis to ride Tour de France in 2019

The time trial world champion last rode the Grande Boucle in 2016 and instead competed at the Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España in each of his final two years at BMC.
