Nothing went untouched Model year 2016 is one of the biggest overhauls in the history of FOX mountain bike suspension. In model year 2015 Fox reset the bar with re-engineered dynamic surfaces, redesigned pistons and seal configurations to deliver the ultimate in smooth performance.
For model year 2016 they took all those lessons and applied them to new from-the-ground-up forks and shocks. They focused on higher performing, more active damping that allows them to create suspension with highly sensitive off-the-top feel and control.
FOX Super Lightweight Steel (SLS) springs are lighter than titanium at more affordable prices.
A proprietary surface treatment and stress relief process removes residual stresses from the spring, allowing them to withstand higher stresses. Each spring is optimized by using a smaller wire diameter and less coils, creating a lighter spring.
