Nothing went untouched Model year 2016 is one of the biggest overhauls in the history of FOX mountain bike suspension. In model year 2015 Fox reset the bar with re-engineered dynamic surfaces, redesigned pistons and seal configurations to deliver the ultimate in smooth performance.
For model year 2016 they took all those lessons and applied them to new from-the-ground-up forks and shocks. They focused on higher performing, more active damping that allows Fox to create suspension with highly sensitive off-the-top feel and control.
All new Rod Valve System (RVS) provides a more seamless damping transition when absorbing small to large impacts, resulting in faster system response, more control, and less harshness.
Also, Super Light Steel (SLS) springs are lighter than titanium at more affordable prices. A proprietary surface treatment and stress relief process removes residual stresses from the spring, allowing them to withstand higher stresses. Each spring is optimized by using a smaller wire diameter and less coils, creating a lighter spring.
