Designed in conjunction with a team of select umpires from across the country, resulting in a chest protector designed for umpires by umpires. Pre-curved shoulder plates are directly attached to a large center plate which runs down the entire length of the chest protector. The large plate not only disperses impacts but also presents a great surface for deflecting balls. Although this is a plated chest protector, it has been designed to provide a wrap around feel. All plates on the body of the chest protector are either riveted together with rust-proof stainless steel rivets or connected with a durable coated nylon band of material. Impact force is transferred throughout the chest protector for the best protection. Protects the ribs like a larger chest protector because the plates extend downwards, following the curvature of the rib cage. UltraCool multi layer padding runs up the sides and over the shoulders, creating a large air gap to provide maximum air circulation. Padding is removable and machine washable. Treated with AEGIS Micobe Shield. Umpire specific DeltaFlex four-point adjustable harness evenly distributes pressure and keeps the chest protector snug and secured in place.
