The following season, All Day promptly had his best career season - not to mention one of the greatest seasons ever by a running back - as he became the seventh NFL player to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single season and finished just nine yards short of Eric Dickersons long-standing record. Peterson won the 2012 NFL MVP, becoming the first and only non-quarterback to win the award since LT in 2006, as well as Offensive Player of the Year. Minnesotas all-time leading rusher finished his career fifth on the NFLs all-time rushing yards list, making him one of the greatest players in franchise and league history.
