In fact, Yzerman is second to Howe in numerous Red Wings all-time leader categories: goals (692), points (1755), hat tricks (18), even strength goals (440) and power play goals (202). He also leads the Red Wings in two all-time categories: assists (1063) and short handed goals (50). In 1996 - 97 Yzerman led the Red Wings to their first Stanley Cup title in 42 years, when they swept the Flyers in four games.
